I read your article, "African Scholarship Students Must Go Home". Damn! You are right but I tell you this had you been in the same situation that this students are in their motherland you would not have tought this way. I know and understand that it is not that easy to survive in Africa. Even worse, do you know that a BA graduated student has to wait years patiently to secure a job. Guys this people deserve to have a happy ending and we should let them share that with their family. They did not ask for the life they have given so why shold they fight for it. Just live them alone. Sir!

A Letter from Dubai
Dear Hakeem,
I read your caption on pointblanknews .com about some women in Ekiti who protested the last election by going nude. I only want to contribute my own piece by saying that those women were induced by some AC chieftains with some money to protest nude.
It is very shameful that some politicians can use women who are as old as their wives and mothers in such a shameful manner. I have it authoritatively from an indigine of Ekiti who saw his own mother on saharareporters.com in such a shameful act that his own mother was given a paltry sum to dance naked on the street of Ekiti just to satisfy some rude and wicked politicians selfish interest.
It is pertinent to note that non of the AC chiefains mother nor wife was involved in this show of shame. These old women have been manipulated because of poverty, if not, why should they be crying more than the bereaved? Where are these AC chieftains mothers and wives during this protest? I have written to saharareporters.com to delete this shameful images from their website and I enjoin other Nigerians to plead with them to withdraw those shameful images from their site.
Our elders must be respected and should not be used as a readily available tool by our gullible politicians. Thanks,Mohammed AbubakarDubai, UAE

A Letter from Ohio, America
Dear Mr. Babalola, Greetings.
I write to inquire about the process of making application for dual citizenship. First of all, I am African American. I was born in Toledo, Ohio which is in the United States. My fiance, Ifeanyi is from the Isunjaba ISU, which in the Imo state. Him and I would like to get married in Nigeria and have a traditional wedding in June. However, I have been researching the immigration laws and they are very strident. If I get married in Nigeria will I be granted dual citizenship from Nigeria and the United States? We both want to reside in both countries not just one. Could you please share some insight regarding the requirements, the process of dual citizenship?

A Letter from Cyprus
Dear Sir,
I am an ardent reader and follower of your articles over the Internet. I really really appreciate and wish to commend the fair, unbiased and highly informative articles on the Internet. I am a Nigerian living in Cyprus where I work as an architect.

I recently got married to a Slovenian woman here in Cyprus, but because of her strong obsession for her country as well as her education, she decided we should relocate to her country (Slovenia). As a follower of your informative article, its quite surprising that a search on your articles shows you have never written about the country.

I would be quite appreciative and happy if u can please educate me about life in Slovenia from a 'Nigerian Perspective' as well as how fast and easy it could be for me to register my wedding in Slovenia and live happily with my wife as well as a prospect for me as an architect as the construction industry here in Cyprus is dwindling.

Your quick and urgent response would be highly appreciated as I plan to join her soon and I consider your source of information as the most genuine point of view. I want to thank you and I hope to read from you soonest.

Why Can’t Pastors Remarry?

By Juliana Francis
Intimate Affairs

Most times in Nigeria, religion creates nothing other than utter confusion! It seems the more religious we get, the worse the society become. You find men defiling little girls, fathers impregnating their daughters, parents conniving to use one of their children for money rituals, parents agreeing to sell one of their girl-children into sex slavery read more

Nigerian Environment & Patriotism In A Clash

By Hakeem Babalola
Nigerian Affairs

I reiterate here that there's little difference between Nigerian politicians and armed robbers - the former being the worse. Although they both steal and take lives, politicians do it with impunity while of course; they helped create armed robbers due to bad policies and casual lack of concern read more

Hardwork & Patience Make A Pro-Footballer

By Emmanuel Zigidik, Afrique Inter Secretary

Talking Football

We had our annual dinner get together at the famous Trofea Restaurant on Sunday 16 August. But it was more than just eating, drinking and partying. The dinner was organised to make the players think about football and to play football. It is also to let them know that football is all about patience and preparation. read more

Who Says Women Are Not Chameleons?

By Juliana Francis
She is just 25 years or less and a sight. She has the innocent and pretty face of an angel, but the heart of a jezebel. A traitor! She’s a telephone operator and by the virtue of her work, meets a lot of people. The phone call centre is situated right on a street, which has many high profile buildings. Such buildings naturally house the rich. But she is not doing it for money! Maybe for a sadistic pleasure? Who knows! read more

How the Nigerian Union Hungary is Being Managed

A Special Report
by Hakeem Babalola

The Nigerian Union Hungary was founded in 2001 amidst accusation, controversy and scepticism surrounding the outcome of the election in which Peter Ihaza defeated Charles Akpan, a non-diplomat employee at the Nigerian Embassy - to become the first president - a post he held until 2007 when another election aided by the Caretaker Committee was conducted. read more

Jamboree Marriage

By Juliana Francis
Intimate Affairs

It’s sheer stupidity if anyone cares to ask me! You spend a fortune on a wedding, and then go into your little room to drink... garri. Hey, wait a minute, before you fly off your lid! I’m not saying wedding is not proper but, can’t you have a low profile one? read more

Nigeria on the brink

FOUR days of violence in Nigeria have left hundreds dead, destroyed towns and villages across the north, brought the cold-blooded police shooting of an Islamist rabble-rouser and left the outside world horrified. Nigeria, with 140 million people, is Africa's largest country. It is also one of the most corrupt, unstable, unequal and fissiparous: read more
